I seldom do movie review unless the movie sucks big time or really really good. But this apes movie is one very exceptional one. Watching it left me with kaleidoscope of reactions but disturbing is how I can best describe the movie.
Perhaps you have watched the previous movie, Planet Of The Apes, featuring woman's heart throbe and I'm afraid some man too, Mark Wahlberg. Well this movie is actually the prequel of that.
The movie depict the effort of one very high spirited scientist (and a damn good looking one) who has created cure for alzheimer which he has tested on some chimp. Yada yada the chimp became amazingly clever and went berserk and killed in action while trying to protect her new born cute-like-button baby chimp.
Ok breath in breath out...
This baby chimp later named Ceaser inherit his mother's brain and became Ketua Pemuda for San Francisco chimp party.
So where is the disturbing part?
Not the Ketua Pemuda part but get this, you will see the chimps being in captivity, treated uncannily bad beyond their will for some research and in the name of humanity. Thats very disturbing with capital D. Watching it required solid discretion and I would suggest you to leave your brains outside the cinema and just enjoy all the furs.
Its not a bad movie really. I am rating the movie 9 out of 10.
Go and watch it.
