Bangkok, sabai and sanuk; Part 1

It was Friday evening in April 10th when I finally arrived at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, that was after some flight delays and not to mention the bumpiest touchdown EVER!

Anyways... I felt a bit lost when I lined up at the immigration counter to get my passport stamped while trying my best to hide it and smile at the lady officer in her Hawaiian inspired garb. It's Songkran mood in Thailand, so I thought everyone will wear a 'playful' uniform to work. Coolness!

Walking through the oh so baronial airport, I couldn’t read the signs written in weird Thai squiggles, but thank God the toilet’s signs are the same with what we have back home. Boys with trousers, girls with skirts!

Greeted “Sawatdi khrap” by a merely half-a-century-old but friendly taxi driver with a hard-to-remember name who was going to take me to my hotel, I soon felt welcome in this exotic wonderland. I've been told about taxi scam in Bangkok and I've been scamed once in Jakarta. But he was not a scam artist. I was one happy customer. My Bangkok’s journey begun…

I'MNOSUPERMANLAH: With a great company, I'm sure I will enjoy my stay in Bangkok.
